We’ve already addressed some common questions and concerns to ensure you have all the information you need about our services and how we can support your child’s development.
It's okay if you're not sure. We are available for a free phone consultation to discuss your concerns. You can also review the Center for Disease Control Developmental Milestone Checklist. If your child is not meeting the age-appropriate milestones or is struggling with age-appropriate tasks it may be time for an evaluation.
When you call our office we will ask you some basic questions about your child's abilities and review how they are functioning in their daily environment. We will also ask if anyone else has expressed concerns. (teachers, pediatricians, family members)
Our administrative staff will also conduct an insurance benefits review before scheduling the initial evaluation. Please call our office or complete the Get Started form to get this process started.
You can contact your insurance provider directly by calling the customer service number on your insurance card. Ask specific questions about therapy coverage, including what types of therapy are covered, any limitations or restrictions, and if pre-authorization is required.
Speech Therapy sessions are typically 30 mins and Occupational and Physical Therapy sessions are between 30 - 60 mins.
No, you can drop off and return at the end of the therapy session. We ask that you return to the clinic 10 minutes before the end of the appointment so your therapist can review the session and provide home exercises.
Unfortunately, we do not travel to the patient's home. If you need in-home therapy you should contact a pediatric home health company.
Don't hesitate to reach out to our office if you have any questions or need more information. Our team of friendly professionals is always here to offer personalized guidance and assistance, so your child can thrive to their fullest potential.
Please call our office or complete the "Get Started" form if you are ready to discuss scheduling. We will complete an insurance verification or review private pay rates and then review available appointments that will work with your schedule.
Our patient portal login provides convenient access for parents to view appointments, treatment details, invoices, and participate in telehealth sessions from the comfort of their own home. Please contact our office if you need login assistance.
Navigating health insurance can be a complicated process, but D.O.T.S. Pediatric Therapy has the expertise to help parents maximize their benefits.
Coverage for your child's therapy depends on your specific health insurance plan. It's best to review your policy documents and contact your insurance provider directly to understand the details of your coverage. The team at D.O.T.S. Pediatric Therapy will conduct an insurance verification prior to scheduling your child's evaluation. The verification will provide an estimate of patient cost, authorization requirements, non-covered diagnosis or conditions, and any limitations to the number of services that a patient can receive.
Seeing an in-network health insurance provider offers several benefits, including lower out-of-pocket costs and reduced copayments. As a contracted provider the insurance company has negotiated a discounted rate. This provides price stability for the patient since these rates are re-negotiated on an annual basis. Additionally, staying in-network helps ensure that more of your medical expenses are covered, simplifying the billing process and minimizing unexpected charges. The coordination between us and your insurance company results in more seamless and affordable care.
First, we are in-network with most major insurance companies. The only major insurance company that we are out of network with is Aetna Commercial Insurance. Other providers will often hand you a receipt and expect you to file your own claims. At D. O. T. S. Pediatric Therapy, we will still complete benefit checks, authorization approvals, and claims filing regardless of your network status. We understand the difficulty of working with insurance companies and have systems in place to smoothly navigate the process and allow you to maximize your out-of-network benefits.
Deductible, co-pays and/or co-insurance is due at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards, cash or check. Credit card and HSA cards are kept encrypted in our billing system so any patient cost shares can be automatically charged at the time of service. You will be emailed a receipt when the card on file is charged. Detailed statements will be available after the insurance claim has been processed by your insurance company.
We offer a discount for uninsured or underinsured patients. Please contact out office to get the current cash/prompt pay therapy rates.
